INTRODUCING

A fine-knit cotton V-neck in washed blue, framed by a deep Collegiate Blue collar and matching cuffs.

Influenced by traditional cricket knitwear, the Bay takes the familiar sporting shape and strips it back for everyday wear. The fine 14-gauge knit gives it a smooth, lightweight feel, while the fully fashioned construction creates a clean line through the shoulders and body.

Cut in a regular fit, with a tonal ribbed hem and pearl-stitch panels at the elbows. Light enough to wear on its own, with enough substance to carry into the cooler months.

ORIGINS

The V-neck emerged in the 1920s where athletic function met the formal dress codes of the day. Its open neckline gave golfers, tennis players and cricketers greater freedom of movement while still accommodating the mandatory collared shirt and tie.

It soon moved beyond the sports field and, by mid-century, had become a relaxed alternative to the waistcoat, worn by the likes of Steve McQueen with an easier, less formal attitude.

The Bay carries that influence forward in fine 14-gauge cotton, with a bold contrast V-neck and cuffs, a tonal hem and pearl-stitch detailing at the elbows.
