&SONS: Our Ongoing Commitment To Sustainable Fashion

In today's world, sustainability has become a key priority for companies in all industries. As we strive to reduce our impact on the environment, businesses must take a proactive approach to ensure their products and practices are as Earth-Friendly as they can.

In the last few years, we’ve made significant strides towards being more sustainable, by choosing many natural materials to work with and using recyclable labels and packaging.

Our Pioneers know we specialise in high-quality, stylish workwear for the modern man. The brand prides itself on producing clothing that is both functional and fashionable. By creating timeless classics and high-quality clothing we promote a slow fashion stance and encourage people to buy less by buying better.

One way we ensure our clothes are high quality and sustainable is by using natural materials in our designs, from using the best BCI cotton, leather and wool. We’re proud to be part of The Campaign for Wool - an initiative founded by His Royal Highness King Charles, to promote the benefits of wool and bring associations, farmers and fashion brands together. Some of our garments like our Pioneer Cardigan also have a 100% British Wool Accreditation. We can trace our wool back to the farms it comes from ensuring full transparency from farm to factory to your doorstep.

Natural materials are not only more eco-friendly than synthetic fabrics, but they also offer a range of benefits. For example, cotton is breathable and hypoallergenic, making it a popular choice for clothing. While wool is warm and insulating and leather is not only stylish but also durable and long-lasting, making it a sustainable choice.

We also partner with ISKO, one of the world’s leading responsible denim manufacturers. Many of our denim designs feature recycled, yarn-blended fabric which includes a percentage of ‘reused cotton’ reclaimed from the spinning process at the mill. The fabric is also certified to contain no harmful chemicals.

We also use recyclable packaging materials for our products. Our packaging is made from recycled materials and is designed to be reused or recycled. This ensures that the packaging does not end up in landfills, where it can take years to decompose.

In addition to these initiatives, we have also launched our SALVAGE SALE, working towards reducing the waste of samples and garments that didn’t meet our usual standards from the factory. A missing popper, poor-quality stitching or a wash that wasn’t quite right are some of the reasons they just didn’t cut it. This ensures that we're not contributing to the growing problem of textile waste. Anything that wasn’t chosen would have been sent to a recycling unit but both our SALVAGE SALES sold out and were a complete success.

We understand that sustainability is a journey, and there is always room for improvement. But with determination and a bit of creativity, we can build a better future for ourselves, our communities, and our planet.
