INTRODUCING

The Torridon starts with a substantial 750g/m bouclé wool-blend sweat knit, giving it the weight and texture of a heavier outer layer while keeping the softness and ease of a sweat.

A wide shawl collar and darker tonal rib frame the neckline, with slotted bar buttons secured through cotton cord loops and grosgrain tape. Self-fabric elbow patches, a back yoke and ribbed pocket openings add structure and detail without overcomplicating the shape.

Soft, unlined and built with real substance, the Torridon is designed to sit comfortably between knitwear and outerwear.

ORIGINS

The shawl collar began as a softer alternative to formal tailoring, appearing on smoking jackets before moving into heavier knitwear in the early 20th century.

From there it became a familiar feature of sporting, collegiate and leisurewear, valued for the way it adds warmth and structure without feeling overly formal.

The Torridon takes that traditional shape and sets it against a heavyweight bouclé sweat knit, giving the collar more presence and the whole piece a substantial, relaxed character.
