INTRODUCING

The Spur Textured Western Shirt takes familiar Western shirting details and gives them more weight and texture.

Cut from a 370gsm cotton-rich weave with 1% elastane, the fabric has enough substance to hold the shape of the shirt while still allowing some movement. A vintage wash takes the edge off the Navy from the first wear and gives the surface a more settled finish.

The Western influence is clear in the angled front and back yokes, shaped chest pockets, spear collar and pointed cuff detailing. Resin-filled metal snaps run through the placket, pockets and cuffs, replacing conventional buttons with one of the most recognisable details of Western shirting.

At the hem, an inserted side-seam detail is finished with a hand-stitched ampersand embroidery — a small feature worked into the construction rather than added on top.

The relaxed fit gives it room to wear over a tee, while the 370gsm fabric makes it substantial enough to work as a layer in its own right.

ORIGINS

Western shirts developed around practical clothing for ranch and rodeo work, and their distinctive details quickly became part of their identity. Pointed yokes reinforced the upper body. Snap fastenings were quick to use and less likely than conventional buttons to snag or tear away. Angled pockets and shaped cuffs gave otherwise straightforward work shirts a recognisable silhouette.

The Spur keeps those familiar codes but pares them back in a deep Navy textured weave. The result is unmistakably Western with a contemporary influence: spear collar, shaped yokes, snaps and cuff detailing, built into a substantial shirt designed for everyday wear.
