INTRODUCING

The Southton Moleskin Chore Jacket is a relaxed work jacket cut from 100% cotton moleskin, garment dyed in Black and washed to give the colour a faded, already-worn character.

Moleskin brings a dense, soft surface to a jacket built around practical chore construction. Four patch pockets sit across the front, with an additional chest pocket inside, while laid-on elbow patches reinforce an area that naturally takes more wear.

The seams are flat felled throughout for a clean, durable finish inside and out, with triple-needle stitching through the shoulders, armholes, sleeves, centre back and side seams.

Vintage-shaped cuffs are finished with an adjustable two-button tab, while brown Corozo buttons bring a warm contrast against the faded Black cloth.

ORIGINS

Moleskin has long been used for hard-wearing work clothes, valued for its dense cotton construction and soft surface.

Chore jackets followed the same practical logic: useful pockets, reinforced areas and straightforward construction that could handle daily wear.

The Southton brings those two ideas together. Dense cotton moleskin, flat-felled seams, reinforced elbows and oversized patch pockets give it the structure of traditional workwear, while the garment-dyed Black finish adds another layer of character.

The colour is deliberately made to change. Wear it, wash it, watch it fade.
