Inspired by the high seas and worn throughout history, the shawl collar jumper is a classic piece that balances style and functionality effortlessly.

Style icons, including Sean Connery, are amongst the well-dressed gents who have adorned the shawl jumper over the years, and this classic style remains a timeless wardrobe staple.

After the success of our Pioneer and Turner Cardigans, we wanted to create a new pullover knit, whilst keeping the iconic shawl neckline. The thick collar can be fastened higher on colder days or worn open in warmer weather.

  • The wool is certified “responsibly sourced”
  • 50% Wool, 25% Viscose and 25% Polyamide
  • Due to the nature of the yarn characteristics some pilling may occur.

ORIGINS

It is said that an established military head, Lieutenant General, wanted an elegant knit that he could put on without ruining his perfectly styled hair. Whilst we love a good legend, it’s more likely that the shawl collar was actually inspired by the old Victorian smoking jackets. The exact dates of the first creation are unknown but it was likely around the 1920s.
