Monument Overcoat Blue

The Monument is a full-length double-breasted overcoat cut from dense 28oz Melton in Airforce Blue.

Melton’s tightly milled surface creates a dense barrier against cold air and wind, giving the coat substantial protection in severe winter conditions without relying on a technical membrane or insulated fill. At 800gsm, the fabric sits firmly in ultra-heavyweight territory, creating a stoic barrier against whatever winter throws at it.

Its relaxed shape gives room for layering, while the weight of the cloth gives the coat its commanding structure and drape.

Branded horn buttons run in three sets down the front, with chainstitched buttonholes and heavy topstitching carried across the centre front, collar, pocket flaps and cuff tabs.

The oversized collar is stitched through the stand so it holds its shape when worn up. A throat latch buttons across the neck to close the gap at the front, then folds back and buttons flat against the collar when it isn’t needed.

Slanted welt pockets are finished with flaps that can be tucked away inside. Behind them, the pocket bags are lined in corduroy, turning them into warm, comfortable hand pockets when the temperature drops. Two further pockets sit inside the coat.

At the back, a 6.5cm belt allows the coat to be worn open through the waist or pulled in for a more defined shape. A deep pleat behind the back vent gives room for movement, with triangular reinforcement stitching at either end.

Reinforced heavy canvas elbow patches, buttoned cuff tabs and a branded lapel pin complete the construction.
