Inspired by the bold patterned shirts of 1950s Hawaii.

INTRODUCING

The Flight Print Shirt takes its lead from the oversized printed shirts worn across Hawaii through the 1940s and 50s, garments built for heat, ease, and individuality. Originally worn by servicemen, musicians, and travellers off duty, these shirts became known for their large-scale patterns, relaxed collars, and laid-back construction.

The Flight follows that same approach. The all-over crane print gives the shirt character without feeling overstated, drawing from the statement prints that defined vintage resort and travel shirting. Each garment carries slight variation in the orientation of the print, making every piece slightly different from the next.

Cut from a breathable cotton and linen blend with a natural drape, the Flight Print Shirt is designed to soften further with wear while remaining easy through warmer conditions. A Cuban collar, turn-back cuffs, side seam vents, and back pleat keep the fit relaxed and functional throughout the day.

It pairs naturally with the Road Pant or Como Textured Shorts in the heat, and works worn open over the Essentials Vest later in the evening, the kind of shirt that settles into summer without needing much thought.

Please note, the orientation of the printed birds will differ from garment to garment.

ORIGINS

Hawaiian shirts first emerged in Honolulu during the 1930s, combining Japanese prints, workwear construction, and lightweight fabrics suited to tropical climates.

By the 1950s, larger-scale printed shirts became increasingly popular, bold patterns designed to bring individuality and character into relaxed warm-weather dressing.

The Flight Print Shirt follows that same lineage: open-collar construction, breathable fabric, and statement patterning balanced with practical everyday wearability.
