ORIGINS

Inspired by the women known as "Lumberjills," who stepped in to take on the physically demanding work of logging when the men were overseas during World War II. In the early days, women in logging camps were often the backbone of operations, taking on the physically demanding work of their male counterparts; felling trees, carrying logs, and doing whatever it took to keep the industry moving. Dressed in rugged, practical clothing, they wore similar attire to the traditional lumberjack: durable shirts, heavy-duty pants, and sturdy boots.

The Lumberjill style became iconic, with flannel shirts and plaid patterns becoming synonymous with the hardworking women of the timber camps. Over time, this practical, outdoors-inspired style made its way into fashion, evolving into a symbol of empowerment and independence.
