Full-length sleeves, turn up fabric cuffs and three-button neck opening to create this authentic Henley Shirt. 

Our range of Elder Henley's are a super soft, versatile addition to our layered looks. These shirts feature an overlock top stitch that secures the bottom shirt trim, scooped hem, colour-matched branded buttons, and a cotton placket.

ORIGINS

A Henley shirt is a collarless pullover shirt, characterized by a round neckline and a placket about 3 to 5 inches (8 to 13 cm) long and usually have 2–5 buttons. The name originates from Henley-on-Thames where rowers wore the jerseys as part of their uniform. Rowers favoured the Henley as it was easier to take on and off due to the 3 buttons on the collar but also because of increased ventilation from the placket and lack of collar
