Embrace the Summer vibes and lose yourself in a sea of colour with our Aloha Club Shirt. Inspired by the traditional Hawaiian shirt, we designed and developed our very own pattern complete with cranes and wave graphics in a vibrant palette of oranges and yellows.

Once a forgotten relic of mid-century menswear, the camp collared floral short has become a Summer staple and with the success of our existing Club Shirt range, we had to indulge.

What would seem like a brave fashion move is in fact the most versatile item you could carry. Let loose with the styling and wear with our newly released Newman Shorts or pare back with our Brandon Denim Jeans, White Boxer T-Shirt and finish with the Lucky sixpence chain.

The Aloha Shirt has been constructed from viscose twill fabric and finished with Corozo buttons.

The exclusive print and fabric feel lightweight and Summer ready. Due to the fabric construction, the shirt will feel looser than our 100% Cotton alternative. Available in S - XXL

Origins

According to some sources, the origin of aloha shirts can be traced to the 1920s or the early 1930s, when the Honolulu-based dry goods store "Musa-Shiya the Shirtmaker" under the proprietorship of Kōichirō Miyamoto, started making shirts out of colourful Japanese prints.

In Japan, the crane is one of the mystical or holy creatures and symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane.

After World War II many servicemen and servicewomen returned to the United States from Asia and the Pacific islands with aloha shirts made in Hawaii and the style became part of American culture.
