The artistically inconsistent slub...
ORIGINS
“Slub” refers to a fabric which is artistically inconsistent. The yarn used to weave the fabric is thicker is some areas. This results in a unique fabric with a nice texture to it. Slub T-Shirts are light and airy, without clinging to the body. As a bonus, it does not ever need to be ironed because it is not designed to look flat.
The origins of the t-shirt date back to the late 19th century, when laborers would cut their jumpsuits in half to keep cool in warmer months during the year. The first manufactured t-shirt was invented between the Mexican-American War in 1898, and 1913 when the U.S. Navy began issuing them as standard undershirts
